๐ŸŽง Why Do Audiophiles and Studios Use Balanced XLR / 4.4mm Audio?

Standard 3.5mm cables are unbalanced: if electrical interference (from power cords or Wi-Fi routers) leaks into the line, it reaches your ears as an audible hum. Balanced cables (XLR / 4.4mm) send two copies of the audio signal: one normal and one with inverted polarity. At the receiving end, the receiver subtracts the two signals, completely canceling out the background noise while doubling the pure music signal!
